The Charm'tastic Mile of Baltimore will publish a weekly sports stat associated with the 1.3 mile corridor. The stats will range from various sports to players of the game. The first Charm'tastic Mile Stat of the Week will come from football.

An American football field is 100 yards in length. There are 2,288 yards in the 1.3 mile corridor.
Eric Dickerson holds the NFL record for most yards rushing in a single season (1984) 2,105 yards. That's an average of 131.6 yards gained (16) per game.  If a player ran for 2,288 yards in a season he would average 143 yards per game.

You could fit 22.88 American football fields in the 1.3 mile corridor of The Charm'tastic Mile of Baltimore. There are 32 NFL teams 71.5% of all the NFL fields could fit on The Charm'tastic Mile.

The Charm'tastic Mile of Baltimore the new name for the 1.3 mile corridor that runs from MLK Jr. Blvd. & Pratt Street to Harbor East has a unique association with some of the most iconic sports stars of all-time. Their association is linked to the magical 1.3.

Babe Ruth - The Babe Ruth http://baberuthmuseum.org/ birthplace museum is located one half block from The Charm'tastic Mile of Baltimore. The Babe is the #1 icon of baseball and he wore the No. 3 jersey as a member of the New York Yankees. The Babe's 1.3 link to The Charm'tastic Mile.

Muhammad Ali- The "Greatest" of All-Time is the #1 icon of boxing. He was the first heavyweight to win the title a record 3 times. His likeness and apparel are sponsored by Under Armour. Brooks & Cal - Brooks Robinson & Cal Ripken are arguably the 2 greatest players to ever play for the Baltimore Orioles. These 2 icons personified the "Oriole Way" of the 1960's , 70's & 80's. Both spent their entire careers with the O's winning World Titles and MVP's. Brooks wore the Number 5 jersey and Cal the Number 8. Combine 5 +8=13. Frank & Eddie - Frank Robinson & Eddie Murray are legends to the Orioles. These 2 slugging stars personify the "Oriole Way". Frank won the "Triple Crown" and is the only player to win MVP in the American and National leagues. Eddie Murray is one of a select few that retired with more than 500 home runs and 3000 hits. Trent & Joe Cool - Trent Dilfer & Joe Flacco have a special place in Ravens history. Trent was the starting quarterback for the Super Bowl XXXV win over the NY Giants. Joe Flacco has been the Ravens franchise quarterback for almost a decade and won Super Bowl XVLll. He was also named game MVP. Trent wore the Number 8 jersey and Joe wears the Number 5. Catherine Pugh & Wilt Chamberlain - Mayor of Baltimore to be Catherine Pugh was born in Philadelphia and went to Overbrook High School. Wilt Chamberlain one of the NBA's all-time greats attended the same Overbrook High. The Charm'tastic Mile Map of Baltimore

The Charm'tastic Mile of Baltimore has created a new map that features its 1.3 mile corridor. The Charm'tastic Mile is seeking to become one of the most well-known street corridors in America.

The new map also features at the end of the route the "Love That 1.3" slogan. Residents and visitors to Baltimore will be thrilled to say that they are walking on The Charm'tastic Mile.

The Charm'tastic Mile is in the process of having permanent street signs installed on the 1.3 mile corridor. 

 

The Charm'tastic Mile Signature Strip Steak

The Charm'tastic Mile of Baltimore the charming new name for the 1.3 mile corridor that runs from MLK Jr. Blvd. & Pratt Street to Harbor East has come up with its own version of a signature strip steak for Hotels & Restaurants on or near "The Mile".


Most restaurants and steakhouses in the U.S. sell their strip steak as the New York Strip. The Charm'tastic Mile will be introducing  "The Charm'tastic Mile Strip" for the City of Baltimore. The steak will be offered as a 13oz. cut lunch portion (The Charm'tastic Mile is 1.3 miles long) and a 19oz. cut dinner portion (The 1.3 miles will be marketed as 1 pound (16oz.) - 3oz.).

There are a variety of steakhouses on or near The Charm'tastic Mile featuring the Capital Grille, Sullivan's Steakhouse, Morton's Steakhouse, Ruth's Chris Pier 5, Fogo de Chao & Fleming's Steakhouse.

The Charm'tastic Mile is seeking to become one of the next "Great Avenues" in America and having its version of a strip steak will help in establishing the 1.3 mile corridor as a "Must See and B-More" area of the city.
