"Charmojito" Recipes for Preakness Stakes

The Charm'tastic Mile of Baltimore teamed-up with 4 local restaurants that are on or near "The Mile" to create 4 different "Mojito" cocktail recipes with a championship horse or Preakness theme. The Kentucky Derby is known for its Mint Julep. The drink is as traditional to The Derby as the race its self. Here in Baltimore we have the traditional Black Eyed Susan cocktail. Its a local and Preakness special drink that will remain legendary during the festivities & parties leading up to race.

There have been some legendary horses that names ring out like sports icons that are current or past hero's. The "Charmojito" recipes were created by some of the most popular dining or cocktail spots in the city. We would like to thank the four establishments for their contributions. The Lord Baltimore Sky Bar, Roy's Harbor East, Ouzo Bay & Sotto Sopra helped by making their signature versions of the "Charmojito" cocktail. The names of the spectacular bartenders who created these superb recipes will be listed with their participating restaurant.

The Lord Baltimore Sky Bar: "Blackberry Bid" Mojito. This cocktail was inspired by the sensational race horse Spectacular Bid, who in 1979 won The Kentucky Derby & the Preakness Stakes. Dylan King (Bar Manager) created this drink recipe.
