The No-No-No St. Nick Bowl Ravens vs. Steelers by The Charm'tastic Mile

December 24, 2016 - The Charm'tastic Mile is the name for the charming 1.3 mile corridor that runs from MLK Jr. Blvd. & Pratt Street to Harbor East in downtown Baltimore wanted to help promote the NFL Game of the Week being played on Christmas Day. They came up with the perfect "Nickname"  for the much-anticipated Ravens vs. Steelers showdown.

Baltimore & Pittsburgh for almost a decade have battled it out like an Ali vs. Frazier heavyweight title fight. Now they will battle it out for control of the AFC North Division Title on Christmas Day.

The Charm'tastic Mile created the headline title name the "No-No-No St. Nick Bowl". There will be No-Gift Exchanges, No-Love Lost & No-AFC North Division Title for the Steelers if they loose to the Ravens.

Santa Clauses' famous chant is Ho-Ho-Ho and for the Ravens fans their chant will be No-No-No when they watch the game and open up gifts during Christmas dinner.

Mayor-elect Catherine Pugh Charm'tastic Mile Logo

The Charm'tastic Mile of Baltimore has created a special 50th Mayor of Baltimore logo for Mayor-elect Catherine Pugh who will be sworn in on December 6, 2016 (12-6-16).

Mayor Pugh and The Charm'tastic Mile will be linked together during her term as Mayor.

She was a vocal and strong presence during the unrest of April 2015 with the riots following the death of Freddie Gray. The Charm'tastic Mile was introduced to the City of Baltimore one day prior to the Primary elections on April 25, 2016. Ms. Pugh won the Democratic Primary election on April 26, 2016 the following day.

The Charm'tastic Mile was first presented as The Wine'tastic Mile on June 6, 2012 (6-6-12). On December 12, 2012 (12-12-12) the ceremonial street sign for The Wine'tastic Mile was unveiled.

After the unrest of April 2015 Derrick E. Vaughan the local businessman that coined the name The Wine'tastic Mile changed it to The Charm'tastic Mile because he felt "Charm'tastic" was more befitting to the image profile and the brand of Baltimore.

The Charm'tastic Mile will be seeking permanent honorary (3) street signs along the 1.3 mile corridor to honor the legacy of  Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during his holiday celebration. The start of The Charm'tastic Mile is at MLK Jr. Blvd. & Pratt Street and runs past the Inner Harbor to Harbor East. The 3 street signs also represent the jersey number worn by Babe Ruth (#3). The Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum is located 1/2 block from The Charm'tastic Mile in the Ridgely's Delight Community.

100 E. Pratt St. the "Centerpiece Building" of The Charm'tastic Mile

The 100 E. Pratt Street Building that started construction in 1973 was completed in 1975 is one of the marquee structures that helped in establishing the core makeup of the Inner Harbor concept. 1975 was also the same year that the "Charm City" nickname was given to Baltimore.

The Charm City nickname was created by advertising executives to give the city a better image after the riots of 1968 and the increase of crime in the early 1970's.

The historical link to 1975 and also the 25th Anniversary (2017) of the second phase of the building being completed would signal that the 100 E. Pratt Street Building was and still is the "Crown Jewel" structure of the Inner Harbor and the centerpiece or trophy building of The Charm'tastic Mile. 1992 was also the same year that Oriole Park at Camden Yards opened downtown. The Orioles have a special logo and 25th Anniversary baseball for the season.

One of the 3 street signs of The Charm'tastic Mile of Baltimore will be placed at the corner of Light & Pratt Street. The 100 E. Pratt Building is the centerpiece structure of The Mile.

The 100 E. Pratt Building will be to The Charm'tastic Mile like the Tribune Tower & Wrigley Building are to The Magnificent Mile in Chicago. It's more than a building but a major symbol to the 1.3 mile corridor.

The Charmtastic Mile shares the same introduction date (April 25, 2016) to the city as the iconic Domino Sugars neon sign. The sign was unveiled on April 25, 1951. This past April was the 65th Anniversary of the sign. Baltimore Street  & The Charm'tastic Mile run parallel together for a major portion of The Mile.

Having the City street & nickname running together will help with future marketing and branding of the entire downtown-area and make the 1.3 mile corridor one of the next "Great Avenues" in America.
