Mayor-elect Catherine Pugh Charm'tastic Mile Logo

The Charm'tastic Mile of Baltimore has created a special 50th Mayor of Baltimore logo for Mayor-elect Catherine Pugh who will be sworn in on December 6, 2016 (12-6-16).

Mayor Pugh and The Charm'tastic Mile will be linked together during her term as Mayor.

She was a vocal and strong presence during the unrest of April 2015 with the riots following the death of Freddie Gray. The Charm'tastic Mile was introduced to the City of Baltimore one day prior to the Primary elections on April 25, 2016. Ms. Pugh won the Democratic Primary election on April 26, 2016 the following day.

The Charm'tastic Mile was first presented as The Wine'tastic Mile on June 6, 2012 (6-6-12). On December 12, 2012 (12-12-12) the ceremonial street sign for The Wine'tastic Mile was unveiled.

After the unrest of April 2015 Derrick E. Vaughan the local businessman that coined the name The Wine'tastic Mile changed it to The Charm'tastic Mile because he felt "Charm'tastic" was more befitting to the image profile and the brand of Baltimore.

The Charm'tastic Mile will be seeking permanent honorary (3) street signs along the 1.3 mile corridor to honor the legacy of  Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during his holiday celebration. The start of The Charm'tastic Mile is at MLK Jr. Blvd. & Pratt Street and runs past the Inner Harbor to Harbor East. The 3 street signs also represent the jersey number worn by Babe Ruth (#3). The Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum is located 1/2 block from The Charm'tastic Mile in the Ridgely's Delight Community.
