Baltimore MD. - The Charm'tastic Mile of Baltimore the charming new name for the 1.3 mile corridor that runs from MLK Jr. Blvd. & Pratt Street to Harbor East has created a new dining concept to increase patrons and profits for restaurants in the Baltimore-area.
Inspired by "Black Friday" and "Shop Small Saturday" The Charm'tastic Mile is going to introduce "Dine Local Thursday" to the City of Baltimore.
Dine Local Thursday will be a city and state wide initiative to promote dining at your local restaurants to help increase business on Thursday nights. When calling restaurants they might call and say, "I'm calling to make Dine Local Thursday reservations".
Most restaurants that stay in business and do well survive on busy Friday & Saturday nights. Dine Local Thursday would like to be an extension of those 2 dining nights.
Dine Local Thursday will be presented to new Mayor Catherine Pugh after she takes office next week. Restaurant Week (Winter & Summer) have been great for the industry for over a decade.
Many of the local restaurants have reported a drop in sales over the past 4-6 months. With a new administration in City Hall there will a new vision and ideas. This is one that will help inject a bolt of interest and enthusiasm in moving forward to bigger and better Baltimore.
Dine Local Thursday will be launched in Baltimore on Thursday January 19, 2017. That is one day before the Presidential Inauguration (1/20/17) of Donald Trump as the 45th U.S. President.
